Welcome to Linsley Photo StL

As a photographer for more than 40 years, I have often used storytelling skills to communicate feelings and to convey a message. As a nature enthusiast and a traveler, I find myself drawn to the amazing world all around us. I have worked in multiple areas of photography: as a photojournalist, in health care public relations and real estate. I feel I have come home to my roots as an artist.

I grew up on a small strawberry farm in southern Illinois, which gave me an appreciation for the land and the environment. Many of the images on these pages are of simple native mid-western wildflowers grown on my property. Others are from amazing natural landscapes, travel destinations and creative abstracts.

Over the years I have been fortunate to receive a number of awards for my work as a photojournalist and as a nature photographer. Recently I have work shown in several St Louis gallery exhibits.

This includes, Webster Arts, Kirkwood Arts Council, Soulard Gallery and Art St Louis.

Through my art, I strive to provide a tool for designers of healthcare, hospitality and corporate facilities to convey a comforting positive space. Working with digital images and the power of observation, I strive to capture images through the use of light, color and texture. Images that provide a visual distraction and elevate mood.
