The Bloodroot woodland wildflower opens mid-spring, but only for a few days. The snowy white petals and bright yellow stamens are a welcoming sight in the spring garden. Native Americans used the plant for a dye, as a love charm and as a medicine. Bloodroots awakening is a symbol of hope and renewal for those facing uncertain times.
