Returning from a recent trip to France; One of the most impressive sights was the garden of Claude Monet. Located in the town of Giverny France is one of the most storied gardens in history. Monet’s Garden and Lily Pond is one of the most visited attractions in France. Monet did his own landscaping, installing flowerbeds of lilies, iris and clematis. In his carefree manner, he would throw together hollyhocks, daisies and native poppies. The color scheme of each flower contributes to the look of the whole garden. Monet landscaped like he painted. He built an impressionist pattern of blocks of color.
